Partners We recognise that the success of UK agriculture depends on successful collaboration. Such activity must have very clear objectives and remain flexible. During 2004 we realised that both FarmConnect and Farmcare were trying to achieve similar objectives - we were both talking to the same manufacturers and trying to put similar solutions in place. Both companies knew we could be far more effective if we combined our activities. To address this a new company has been set up called CFTG which handles all the price negotiations on behalf of both Farmcare and FarmConnect. It is also responsible for collecting rebates and distributing them back to members on a pro rata basis. CFTG is a not for profit company and any surplus funds will be distributed back to members. CFTG has 4 directors, 2 from FarmConnect and 2 from Farmcare. The diagram below shows how CFTG works and the relationship between FarmConnect and Farmcare:
